Bonnie Lynell Kent Shiver, age 79 of Murphy, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Bonnie was born in Atmore, Alabama to the late Frank Milton and Bessie Margaret Jackson Kent. She was an avid gardener and taught Sunday School. Bonnie took many fun folk trips with Flomaton Church First Baptist. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Bonnie was an active member of Luke 1418 in Mobile, Alabama.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Wayne Shiver; a sister, Jean Wilson; and a sister-in-law, Ceilia Kent.
She is survived by her son, Todd Bodiford; a step-son, Kenny Shiver (Melanie); her daughters, Tammy Hayden (Robert) and Kim Snowden (Jeff); her step-daughter, Julie Boutwell (Phillip); her brother, Jerry Kent (Gloria) and Ronnie Kent; her grandchildren, Aimee Powell, Alyce Kent Lew, Katy Jones and husband, Rickey, Emily Boutwell, Jack Brian Boutwell, James S. Lew, Jr., Emma Grace Snowden, Abby Snowden; her step-grandchildren, Courtney Killem (Kelby); and her great grandchildren, Alina Powel, Andrew Powell, Kentleigh Jones, Dawsen Jones, Jensen Jones, Raven Killem and Asher Killem and James Joseph Lew,III; and a special nephew, Dale Hollingsworth (Connie).
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Catawaba Springs family cemetery in Brewton, Alabama.
