Frankie "Doc" Murphy, age 87 of Murphy, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Doc was born in Cherokee County to the late Manco Murphy and Ida Sutton Murphy. He had worked in the Murphy Sanitation Department. Doc loved to garden, work on lawnmowers, loved to fish and playing with his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Murphy; and his sisters, Annie Hardin (Merle) and Hazel Abernathy.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life of 59 years, Wanda Phillips Murphy; his son, Jeffrey Lynn Murphy; his daughters, Rebecca Lynn Murphy (Angela) and Kimberly Ann Murphy (Angela); and his grandchildren, Bailey Murphy, Aiden Zachary Murphy and Ida Rose Murphy.
