Winnie Lee White Galloway, age 85 of Andrews, NC passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Fred and Della Johnson White. Winnie worked for District Memorial Hospital and was also a personal caregiver. She enjoyed dancing, eating out and spending time with her family. Winnie was a member of Junaluska Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Galloway; one son, Terry Eugene Galloway; one brother, Ray White; two sisters, Polly White and Opal DaSilva; and one granddaughter, Heather Barnard.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Galloway (Becky) of Andrews and Larry Galloway (Tina) of Salem, MO; two daughters, Tammy Barnard (Ralph) of Andrews, NC and Vickie Jenkins (James) of Murphy, NC; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Ralph Barnard and grandson, Blake Davis will officiate. Music will be provided by George VanBuskirk, Diane Chastain and David Lovingood. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eli Barnard, Corey Barnard, Logan Stanley, Johnathan Moore, Greg Barnes and John Holland. Honorary pallbearer will be Bryan Galloway.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1pm, Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
