Michael Brandon Brinke, age 45 of Hayesville, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Michael was born in Cherokee county to Renee Payne Bateman. He worked as an electrician. Michael enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, going camping, swimming in the lake and building Legos with his sons. He loved anything to do with cars, four wheelers and building things.
He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Renee Payne Bateman; his sons, Brandon Chase Brinke (Shelby) and Ryan Brady Brinke; his brothers, Christopher Trentham and Norman Brinke; his sisters, Tiffany Bailey (Lazarus), Terri Brinke, Renea Bateman (Steve), Megan Bateman and Christina Bateman; his grandchild, Kolten Brinke; and a niece, Kinslee Bailey.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Murphy at 3650 River Hill Road, Murphy, NC 28906 with Jimmy Carroll officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gabe Richie, Gage Horchler, Jacob Horchler, Mikey Caroll, Mitchell Hughes, Ronnie Seagert and Phillip Hughes. Honorary pallbearer is Lazarus Bailey.
The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 2pm at the church prior to the funeral service.
