June Stella Walters, age 87 of Murphy, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
June was born in Sandwich, Kent, England to the late Henry Milne and Daisy Franks Milne. She was a hairdresser. June took great pride in sewing, knitting and cooking. She loved animals, studying her Bible and especially spending time with her family. June was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Murphy. June spent many years volunteering for her community.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Walters; and her sisters, Rena Dent and Jane Duncan.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Hamby (Jeff) of Hiwassee Dam community; her sisters, Mollie Cronin and Barbara Murley, both of England; and a granddaughter, Bethany Sharkey (Todd).
A Memorial Service will be held at 5pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Ledford and Rev. Doug Howard officiating.
