Obituary for Tamera "Tammy" T. McCullough

Tamera "Tammy" Truett McCullough went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 12, 2025.

She was a native of Cherokee County and grew up in Andrews. She lived in Murphy the last few years of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Aurelia, whom she loved very much. She loved her family and playing games with them. Tammy enjoyed reading and listening to music. She loved her church and all the relationships. She had an amazing relationship with Jesus.

Tammy was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" McCullough and her parents Lawin and Maxine Truett who were also both native to Cherokee County.

She is survived by her daughter Courtney McCullough Horsman and husband Tyler and their daughter Aurelia. She is also survived by brothers, Terry and his wife Nancy, Tony, and his wife Linda and her youngest brother Tracy Truett; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Shepherd of the Mountain Church located at 68 Fairfax Drive in Murphy, just above Eller and Owens. Pastor Chris West will officiate. Music will be provided by Casey Holloway and Pastor Chris West.

The family will receive friends from 11am-12noon on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Tammy will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. She has caused a hole that can never be filled, she was loved by so many.
