Mike Rice, 67, of Murphy passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025. He was the son of Carolyn Millenbruch Rice of Murphy and the son of the late Duane Everette Rice.
He was a computer geek. Mike loved riding his motorcycle, playing golf, playing the guitar, drums, banjo, and the piano. He loved reading his Bible and Religious books. Mike was a member of the Assembly of God. Mike had worked in Electronics and was a Youth Pastor. He was an Army Veteran.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Terry Kavanaugh of Murphy; a nephew, Adam Kavanaugh of Florida; and a niece, Amy Saunders of Florida.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Brother Hall officiating.
