Obituary for Stephen David Stiles

Stephen David Stiles, 72, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Stiles lived most of his life in Cobb County, GA.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Betty Davis; son, Robert "Robby" James Stiles (Daniel Riley) of Decatur, GA and his daughter, Rhonda Kelli Emard of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Rudolph Stiles, Jake, Zander and Caroline Emard; brothers and sisters, Charles Stiles, Linda (Joey) Lewis, and Regina Graham all of Murphy, NC; and a large number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Carringer Stiles; his father, Jake Bunion Stiles, and sister, Patricia "Pat" Gladson.

Steve was born and an original resident of Murphy, NC until 1979. At that time, he and his family moved to Marietta, GA. He became an employee at Lockeed Martin Corporation. Steve was employed 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of Mount Paran North Church, Marietta, GA.

He loved fast cars, car shows, drag races, baseball games and air shows. Steve enjoyed listening to rock and roll and gospel music. He also enjoyed fireworks, boats, and going to the beach. Steve loved the mountains, traveling and spending time with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially getting to eat good family dinners.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2025 evening from 6 pm till 8 pm and Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.

Funeral Services will be at 11 am at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Rev. Christopher Wolfe will officiate the service. Burial will be at Old Martins Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jake and Zander Emard, Jake and Dylan Graham, and Chase and Chandler Welch.
