Lucille Ann DeStefanis, of Warne, NC (aged 89), was born August 9, 1935, passed away July 18, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Rockwood, Pennsylvania to the late James and Margaret Lees. At the age of 4, her family moved to South Florida where she grew up. She attended Miami High School. She married Vincenzo Pasquale DeStefanis on October 11, 1952.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent (2013), her sons, Paul James (1990) and Vincent (2017), and her sister, Marylee (Vance) Larkins (2023).
She is survived by her children, Lucille & Phillip Brown, Mary Petrucco (and her late husband Rick Petrucco, and daughter in law, Jeanette & Joseph Pistacchio, her grandchildren Vincent & Lisa DeStefanis, Lisa & David Craig, Michael Espinosa, Paul Anthony & Keisha DeStefanis, Tiffany & Anthony Massocco, and AnnMarie DeStefanis, and all her great grandchildren Paul DeStefanis, Felicia Grippo, Haley Craig and Nathan Johns, Domenic DeStefanis, Ella DeStefanis, Ava DeStefanis, Vincenza Massocco, Lauren Martinez and Lorenzo Martinez, brother and sisters in law Sonja DeStefanis, Ann DeStefanis and Joseph and Peggy DeStefanis, and her many wonderful and beloved nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
During her life, she owned and operated the Magic Touch Beauty Salon in Miramar, FL. She later went on to be a paraprofessional at Davie Elementary School until she retired and moved to Warne, NC. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary in Hayesville, NC. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived as a shining example of Christ's love. Her faith was unwavering, and she shared the gospel with anyone willing to listen, always pointing others to the hope she found in Him. She was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. Known for her unconditional love, she poured her heart into her family, who remain a living testament to the beautiful example she set throughout her life.
Her celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hayesville. She will be forever missed, but we rejoice in knowing she is at peace in Heaven.
