Obituary for Hugh William (Bill) Youngblood

08/21/1946 - 07/08/2017

Hugh William (Bill) Youngblood, Jr. went to be with his Lord the morning of July 8, 2017.  Born August 21, 1946 in Tampa, FL, Bill was presently residing in Woodstock, GA with his wife, Nadine, the love of his life. At the time of his death, Bill and Nadine were staying at Bill's favorite place, their home in the beautiful mountains of Murphy, NC.

Bill's greatest treasure in this world was his family.  Surviving him is his wife, Nadine Evelyn Youngblood; son, Gene Frazee and wife Gina; four daughter, Denise Savely and husband Wayne, Doreen Buben and husband Ray, Michelle Edwards and Kimberly Turner; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Patricia Turnbull and her son Hugh Holton, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.

He was the leader of his family in all ways and his wisdom, guidance, and care for each will be greatly missed. Bill had a great love for life...he cherished his family, his friends, good food, sharing laughter, music, books, politics, travel, and especially fishing. Jesus was the foundation of everything Bill did whether it was his family or his business. His love for Jesus guided his life and directed his steps in all things.  He was an extraordinary leader and teacher, always willing to help others grow and succeed. He was passionate about being a great financial planner as he helped improve the quality of life for hundreds throughout his career. He served through missions and on many ministry boards; he was devoted to his minister friends. He fervently loved our country and was Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant from the United States Army.

The relatives and friends of Bill and Nadine are invited to a Celebration of Life, Saturday, August 12, 2017, 2:00 pm at Reid's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
