Strain, Earl Rae (aka Chief)

September 15, 1958 - April 29, 2019

Earl Rae Strain, known to most as "Chief", passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home, on April 29, 2019. Rae was a native of El Paso, TX, he also lived in Louisiana, Georgia and finished out his days in the mountains of North Carolina. Rae was known for his passion for motorcycles and his colorful conversations. He was a house painter by trade and business owner for twenty years.

Rae's passing was proceeded by the loss of mother, Mada Beth White and father, Earl Hugh Strain. Rae leaves behind daughters, Sherry Strain and Jennifer Hudson, as well as sons, Steven Strain and Earl Strain, eleven grand children and one great grandchild, life companion Sue Dalrymple Coley, step daughter and son in-law, Terra and Warren Foster and a brother, Charles Strain.

A celebration of Rae's life will be held at Bates Creek Baptist Church in Murphy, NC. Friends and family will be received at 1pm on Saturday, May 11th and services are to begin at 2pm.
