Timothy Samuel Rizzo, age 65 of Murphy, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Murphy, NC.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Rose Ann Marescalco Rizzo. Timothy was a self-employed carpenter and a very strong Christian. He loved his family and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and building. Some of his building projects include houses, garages, gazebo's and even chicken coups. He would build some of those projects by felling the trees, milling the lumber and then using that lumber to build his creations along with miscellaneous repairs on houses and farms. He had a good heart and was always ready to do for others. Some of those "good deeds" included mowing and lawn maintenance.
He is survived by his sister, Renee Faith Rizzo, Uncle Dan and Marcella Rizzo, Aunt Jennie Marescalco, "Mikco" Dominick Marescalco, along with many loved cousins and family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Barry Dotson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 Sunday evening at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
