Gerald Edward Hedden, age 84 of Fort Payne, Alabama and previously of Murphy, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Gerald was born in Murphy, NC to the late Homer and Ada Johnson Hedden. He was a factory fork lift driver. Gerald enjoyed fishing and loved watching his old TV shows.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hedden; and brothers, Wendell, Noah, Larry and Johnny Hedden.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy Hedden (Rhonda), Troy Hedden (Candace) and Michael Hedden (Crystal); daughters, Tammy Hallford (Pat), Teresa Larsh and Tracy Hedden; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Kenny White will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy. Pallbearers will be Troy Hedden, Michael Hedden, Troy Hedden, Jr., Kyle Collier, Timothy Hedden, Danny Fletcher and Wendell Hedden.
The family will receive friends from 1pm-3pm on Thursday, January 27, 2022 prior to the funeral service.
