Martha Merle Hill Honea, age 75 of Murphy, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
She was born in Decatur, Alabama to the late Phillip and Mattie Gamble Hill. Martha was a department manager at Wal-Mart for 15 years. She had moved to Murphy from Auburn, Georgia in 1992. Martha was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Cold Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Nascar fan and she also enjoyed crocheting and arrowhead hunting.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Richard Wayne Honea and John Michael Honea; and a sister, Brenda Jean Kinnard.
Martha is survived by her step-father, Jimmy Lee Mills; daughters, Martha Denise Puckett (Michael) and Melinda Deanne Beaver (Ronald); brothers, Stephen Michael Hill and John Edward Hill; sisters, Robin Hudson and JoAnn Carnes; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
