Joshua was born in Cherokee County to Jack Doyle Taylor and Tina Lynn Whitener on February 20, 1987. He was a lifelong resident of Murphy.
Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Harold Garland Taylor and his maternal grandparents LeRoy and Francis Whitener.

The Josh I knew lived his life to the fullest HIS WAY! He always had a sweet smile and a kind word. He loved computers, video games, swimming, and the outdoors. Josh never met a stranger. He was loving, outgoing, social, flamboyant, intelligent, and witty. A few weeks ago, I saw Josh, he ran up to me and hugged me in his normal fashion, “Hey Daddy”. He will always be missed and will never be forgotten. He is my Son.
