Roberta L. King (Ratcliff), aged 75, of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on the 14th of June, 2024.

She was born on the 6th of March, 1949, in Fannin County, GA, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family and unwavering faith. Roberta dedicated many years of service as a housekeeper at Piedmont Crossing, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. She harbored a love for the thrills of NASCAR racing and cherished the companionship of her cats, which brought her immense joy throughout her life.

She is survived by a loving family: sons James Darren King and Anthony Ray King (wife Tammy); sisters Margaret Cross of Ga, Irene Mashburn of Ga, Shirley Green of Ga, and Imogene King of Lexington; grandchildren Justin Cody King, Haley Starr King, and Hannah Nicole King; and great-grandson Noah Bentley King.

She was preceded in passing by her treasured parents and her husband, Harold King Jr.

Roberta will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and generosity of heart has left an indelible mark on the lives of her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. The service will be conducted by Pastor Rondall Brown, who will offer comfort and hope through scripture and prayer, celebrating Roberta's life and her journey to eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County, honoring Roberta's spirit of giving and love for all God's creatures.

Roberta L. King's memory will be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones forever. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers during this time.
