Obituary for Mabel Radford Hall

Mabel Radford Hall, age 79 of Murphy, NC passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Carter and Edith Coleman Worley. Mabel worked for United Community Bank as a teller. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening. Mabel loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Grape Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Verl S. Radford and second husband Marvin Hall; two sisters, Dorothy Dockery and Dora Worley; infant brother, Joseph Worley and one brother-in-law, Franklin Martin.

She is survived by one son, Douglas Radford (Carla) of Murphy; one daughter, Jennifer Gilbert (Steve) of Blairsville, GA; one brother, Floyd Worley (Molly) of Murphy; one sister, Alice Martin of Murphy; three granddaughters, Anita, Heather, Kaylee and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Steve West will officiate. Burial will be in the Hanging Dog Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Maddox, Jeffery Carroll, Jeremiah Barnard, James Radford, Ryan Balcomb and Douglas Radford.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
