Douglas Milton White, 73, of Marble passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024. He was the son of the late Charles and Nell Amos White. Along with his brother Tim, Douglas was owner/operator of White's Convenience Store and Napa Auto Parts. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Douglas was most remembered and known for his OCD and obsession for neatness and perfection. He also loved hot rodding and maintaining a neat and clean vehicle. He was a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Joan White.
Surviving are two sons, Jonathan Douglas White and wife Paula, and Justin Todd White; brothers, Charles White, Jr., David White and wife Alice, and Tim White and wife Connie; sister, Hilda Jolley and husband Jim; and a grandchild, Paden Lee White.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Murphy Chapel with Rev. Aud Brown and Rev. Eddis Dockery officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Sons and funeral home staff will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.
