Wanda Gail Ladd, age 69 of Murphy, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Wanda was born in Swain County to the late Fred Jr. and Claudelle Davis. She took pride in her work as a medical technologist. Some of her favorite hobbies included reading, music, and taking care of her animals. She was always good to anybody that came in contact with her because she had a heart of Gold.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ladd; her daughter, Amanda Ladd; her son, Christopher Michael Ladd; a brother, Belve Ronnie Davis; and a sister, Martha Roseann Stillwell.
She is survived by a brother, Robert "Bobby" Davis (Karen); a sister, Zoe. A.; a sister-in-law, Jaunita Stiles; her nieces, Candance Diane Davis, Katherine Dawn Watkins (Brandon), Alyssa Georgette Cheek (Derick), and Kendra Dawn Lovingood (Earl); and her nephews, Benjamin Dean Davis (Stephanie), Derick Alexandra Stillwell (Kelly), and Jeffrey Kenneth Stiles.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Murphy. Rev. Dana Dockery will officiate. Burial will be in Aquone Cemetery in Nantahala. The pallbearers will be Benjamin Dean Davis, Austin Davis, Derick Alexander Stillwell, Brandon Watkins, Lane Davis, and Candace Davis.
The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm prior to the service.
