Born on April 24, 1940, in Murphy, NC, he spent much of his life in and around Atlanta, GA and his home state of North Carolina where he was known for his easygoing nature and genuine kindness.
Troy was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. Troy was also cherished by his siblings: Carolyn (David) Anderson, Rita Collins, and David (Carolyn) Hall, as well as being preceded in death by his brother, Caswell Hall and his parents, Everett "Bill" Hall and Janie Sawyer Hall.
Troy had a zest for life, enjoying old Westerns on television and rooting for his favorite baseball and football teams. He was known to his family by the affectionate nickname "T-Pop." His life was guided by the motto "Mo Better," a reflection of his positive outlook.
Troy's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His loyalty and kindness left a lasting impact on his family and community.
