Alvin Wayne Rowland, age 77 of Marble, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Northeast Medical in Gainsville, GA.
Alvin was of the Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors. Alvin worked as a heavy machine operator and logger for several years. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Alvin will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, TM and Lavasta Rowland; his seven brothers; his four sisters; and a son, James Rowland.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Rowland; one daughter, Donna Campbell; one son, Jeffrey Rowland; five grandchildren, Cynthia Rowland of Dawsonville, GA, Matthew, Josh and Dalton Danielson of Hayesville, and Angela Rowland of Murphy; and his 14 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Rev. Tommy Messer officiating. Burial will be in Rowland Hills Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be mad to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
