Betty Jean Hays, age 77 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019.
She was born in Clay County, NC to the late Clayborn and Ollie Wilson Ashe. Betty was a L.P.N.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hays; one son, Christopher Hays; and two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Aretha Hays of Murphy and one grandson, Kodi Hays.
A visitation and memorial service will be held from 2 pm - 5 pm, Saturday, August 17 at the Oakview Baptist Church in Hayesville. Rev. David Cothren will officiate.
