Bruce Eddie Taylor, age 67 of Murphy, NC passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home.
He was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Charles Earl and Ruby Hedrick Taylor. He was a foreman at Martin Marietta, Inc. which became a leader in chemicals, aerospace and electronics. His expertise was building the Patriot missiles. Bruce was a Veteran and served in the United States Navy. He attended Tomotla Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Meredith Moncrief and Brenda Cook.
He is survived by three brothers, Hubert, Troy and Terry Taylor; four sisters, Girline Bailey, Hazel Cook, Rosetta Moss and Faye Foxworth and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the Tomotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Harold Stiles will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted by the Veterans Organizations: V.F.W. Post #10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post #96 and D.A.V. Chapter #73 and American Legion Post #532 of Hayesville and V.F.W. Post #6812 Hayesville.
