Charles A. Brickey, 78, of Murphy passed away Friday, February 03, 2023. He was the son of the late Mathew and Irene Pipes Brickey. He had worked in the Dentistry field. Charles was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Amelia McTaggart Brickey; a son, Charlie Brickey and wife Melissa of Fort Collins, CO; daughters, Candace Brickey Mosher of Demorest, GA, Laine Muniz of Dadeville, AL, and Tanya Walker and husband, Jerome of Mars Hill, NC; brothers, Phillip Brickey of Andrews, and George Brickey of Hayesville, NC; sister, Loretta Stiles of Rogersville, TN; grandchildren, Gabriel Mosher, Lincoln Mosher, and Ben Brickey; step grandchildren, Tyler (Kiona) Lambert of Saint Robert, MO, MaKayla(Brad) Resler of Hampton, VA, Tori (Rocky) Spagnuolo of Davenport, WA, Scarlett (Tyler) Gibson of Morristown, TN, and Carrie (Christopher) Dore' of Teleford, TN; two great grandsons, Brent Lambert, and Jace Resler; and two great granddaughters, Hazel Gibson, and Carolina Dore'.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 06, 2023 at the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Noah Crowe officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post #96, Murphy, American Legion Post 532 Hayesville, VFW Post 6812, Hayesville and the Marine Corp League, Marble. Pallbearers will be Matt Rogers, Jerome Walker, Brad Resler, Nathan McTaggart, Ralph Hood, and Jerry Palmer.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Monday prior to the services.
