Carolyn Jean Harper, age 74 of Warne, NC passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024.
She was born in Mayflower, Arkansas to the late Mc. Donald "Mack" and Ollie Imo Gene Slape Maddox. Carolyn worked as a preschool teacher. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, and working crossword puzzles. Carolyn loved her feather bird baby, Biscuit. She was a member of Truett Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley and Pam Maxwell.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Earl Harper, Sr.; one song, Dennis Earl Harper, Jr. of Warne, NC; one daughter, Tamatha Houston (Darwin) of Lodi, CA; one brother, Jerry Maddox of Valley Springs, CA; and one grandson, Luke Houston of Lodi, CA.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
