Ralph Leonidus Carder, 81, of Murphy passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025.
He was a native of Murphy. Ralph enjoyed Fixing small motors, fishing, telling stories, and working with his hands. Ralph was a member of many hats as a logger, farmer, heavy machine operator, and caregiver. He had served in the Cherokee County Rescue Squad for 20 years.
Ralph was the son of the late Roy Carder and Pauline Stalcup Carder. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Little Carder; eldest brother, Fred Carder; and little sister, Faith.
Surviving is his daughter, Patricia Carder; a son, Daniel Carder and wife Lisa; a daughter, Samantha Wicker and husband, Robert; sisters, Janet Stiles, Jane Garland, and Susie Carder; brother, Hugo Carder; grandsons, Kyle Holloway and wife, Faith, and Daniel W. Carder; granddaughter, Abigail Carder; step grandson, Michael Holden and wife, Lindsay; and great step grandchildren, Ariana, McKinley, Mason, Hayden, and Carder Holden.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Crisp officiating.
