Obituary for Carolyn Louise Mundy

Carolyn Louise Mundy, age 85 of Murphy, NC passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Everette "Buck" and Martha Adams Wallace. Carolyn was a homemaker. Carolyn enjoyed walking, reading the Cherokee Scout, listening to Lynard Skynard and visiting the Senior Center. She loved playing Bingo, animals, and especially her family. Carolyn was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tracy Payne and one brother, Brian Wallace.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Huskins of Marble; two grandsons, Christopher and Andrew Nelson; and two great grandchildren, Chloie and Carter Nelson.

A private family graveside service was held at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
