Obituary for Kenneth Karel Soltys

Kenneth Karel Soltys, 63, of Hayesville, NC, went home to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep on March 30, 2025, in Panama City, Florida.

Ken was a world-class trumpeter, a gifted pianist, and a soulful singer. He was also a stellar baseball player and a lifelong fan of the New York Mets. Yet, nothing brought him more joy than playing ball with his girls and praising the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul.

Ken leaves behind his beloved daughters, Kristin (Michael) Betancourt and Ashlin Glatthar, and seven cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his three siblings: Cynthia (Terry) Smith, Karen Enstad, and his twin brother, Keith (Ursula) Soltys, along with a multitude of dear friends from around the world.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Hayesville, North Carolina, followed by inurnment at Laurel Hills Memorial Garden in Young Harris, Georgia. The family will receive friends and loved ones at the Yewit Center in Young Harris, Georgia following the burial.
