Douglas Peter Rondeau, 77, of Warne passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was the son of the late Albert Frank and Waneta Brand Rondeau. Doug was owner/operator of Bedford Falls Alpaca Farm. He graduated from high school, then entered the service and was in Special Forces. Doug did two tours of duty in Vietnam.
After the service he moved to Naples, FL in 1972. There he started a restaurant and then opened a very successful sign business shop. Doug married Nancy Kirkwood Kingsbury on April 17, 1983. In 1998 they moved to Warne, NC where Doug and his wife, Nancy opened Bedford Falls Alpaca Farm. (He felt it was the happiest time of his life).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Rondeau, Donald Rondeau, and Jerry Rondeau; sisters, Sharon Gkocholski, Deborah Tuttle, and Nita Martel.
Surviving is a brother, Ron Taylor; sisters, Janice Hill (Gary E.), and Jackie Riley; special friends, Jim and Pam Craig, and Beth Arsenault; and many nieces and nephews.
No services are planned at this time.
