Gladys Cross Davis, 80, of Topton passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Howard and Gladys Lucille Garren Cross.
Gladys loved her own dogs and everyone elses too. She loved cats and you might see her holding a baby tiger or putting an arm around a camel. Gladys was a craftsman and enjoyed making many pieces of jewelry. She enjoyed going to beaches, but Myrtle Beach was her favorite. Gladys had been to the West Coast around five times.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Parker.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Monroe N. Davis; a son, Dwight Davis and his wife Kelly of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Courtney Davis of Huntersville, NC and Caleb Parker and wife Megan of Andrews; and a great grandchild, Mason Parker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Way Church in Andrews at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Gladys Cross Davis to the Humane Society of Valley River, 7450 US-19, Marble, NC 28905.
