Harold Charles Enloe, age 73, formally of Andrews, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love for his family and friends and quiet strength.
A man of the road spent much of his life behind the wheel but always kept his family close with every mile. Born on February 22, 1952 in Murphy to Lawrence and Ruth Hall Enloe, Harold learned the value of hard work early on. He began a long career as a truck driver—traveling across state lines and highways with steady hands and a determined spirit. For over 40 years Harold hauled freight and kept America moving.
To those that knew Harold he was more than a driver- he was a dependable son, brother, uncle and friend. Despite long hours and weeks on the road he never missed family gatherings, birthday parties for his nieces, holidays or a chance to tell a good story. Harold enjoyed hunting, guns, racing, especially dirt track and Nascar and baseball.
Harold is survived by his best friend and brother Willard (Tammy) Enloe; his nieces, Eden (Colby) Orr, Annalise Enloe (Nate) and Cathy Barton Knox; and his great-niece, Adalyn Nix or as Harold referred to her as “little Bubba”.
Special family members include Raymond and Joyce Younce. Harold is also survived by many treasured friends who brought joy to his life.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Ruth Hall Enloe; and his sisters, Linda Kay Parker Barton, Wendy Adams and Katherine Randall.
A memorial service to celebrate Harold’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 2pm at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Rev. Phillip Hodge and Rev. Kyle Savage officiating. Pallbearers will be Lennie Cutshaw, Dewayne Ledford, Tom Ramsey, Jimmy Mann, Colby Orr, Todd Hicks, Floyd Purser and Robert Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Cutshaw and Dale Palmer. The interment will follow at Moss Memorial Cemetery in Marble.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the care staff at Murphy Rehab and Nursing and to Four Seasons Hospice Care.
