Obituary for Annette Wallace Helton

Annette Wallace Helton, age 86 of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, December 2, 2025.

She was born in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Voyd "John" and Willa Bennett Wallace. Annette worked as a bookkeeper. She loved to read, play Scrabble and various games. Annette enjoyed her flowers, working crossword puzzles, baking, cooking, koi fishing pond and going to church. She cherished her moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annette was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Adam Helton; one daughter, Wanda Kay Anderson; two brothers, Nathaniel Wallace (Sonny) and John Wallace (Pug).

She is survived by one daughter, Willena Ann Helton; two sisters, Sue Graves and Becky Ballew; grandchildren, Stephanie Hass (Curtis), Blake Helton, Wade Anderson, Cory Anderson and Robert "Bo" Helton; and great grandchildren, Catelyn White, Olivia Anderson, Anslee Hass, Nala Anderson, Noah Anderson and Damian Anderson.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, December 8, 2025 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Rev. Donald Padgett officiating. Terry and Tammy Davis will provide music. Burial will be held in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Paul Beaster officiating. Pallbearers will be Curtis Hass, Blake Helton, Wade Anderson, Cory Anderson, Robert "Bo" Helton and Nathan Galloway.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm, Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
