John Clemons, Jr., 85, of Hayesville passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was the son of the late John Clemons, Sr. and Pearl Holmes Clemons. John was owner/operator of John Clemons Tool Rental. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting in the Everglades and enjoyed working on old cars. John was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Moss Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Clemons.
Surviving are sons, John Elbert Clemons, III of Hiawassee, GA, and Randolph Blake Clemons of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters, Brenda Lynn Collins (Tom) of Fort Myers, FL and Charlotte Suzette Peters (Gerald) of Hayesville; brothers, Lamar Clemons (Carolyn) of Fort Myers, FL and Wayne Clemons (Wanda) of Lake City, FL; grandchildren, Noah John Clemons, Chantel Leah Clemons, and Christopher Ross Bancroft (Genevie); great grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Bancroft, Tyler Curtis Bancroft, Layla Lynn Bancroft, and Rubin Bancroft.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2026 in the Moss Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Shelton officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the church prior to the services.
