Jerry Wayne Hartness, 71, of Hayesville passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. He was the son of the late Charlie and Dorothy Ladd Hartness.
He worked as a handyman in the construction industry. Jerry liked doing yard work, taking care of animals, watching western movies, being outside and piddling, and telling big stories.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by brothers, Gerald Hartness, Richard Hartness, and William Hartness; a sister, Mary White.
Surviving Jerry is a brother, James Hartness (Joyce); Paul Grubb (Lisa) "Little brother" and Kathy Grubb "Little sister".
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
