Geraline Burrell Lockaby, age 82 of Marble, NC passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
She was born in Clay County, NC and the daughter of the late Gerald and Fannie Patton Burrell. Geraline enjoyed talking to her siblings on the phone, reading, and working in her flowers. She also enjoyed painting and writing poetry. Geraline attended Rowland Hill Baptist Church in Marble.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Lockaby; infant son; three brothers, Dick, Ronnie and Tommy Burrell; and two sisters, Wanda Watkins and Doris Collins.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Lawson Lockaby; three brothers, Johnny, Kenny and Bobby Burrell; three sisters, Clara Moss, Shirley Chastain and Frances Wilson; and one grandson, Ezekiel Jeffrey Lockaby.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, February 2, 2026 at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. James Stalcup will officiate.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
