Jennifer Denise Morris, age 69 of Murphy, NC, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Siler Blount. Jennifer worked for the Cherokee County Clerk of Court for 28 years. Jennifer loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She liked to travel, riding motorcycles and participating in walk relays such as Relay for Life / Cancer Walk. Jennifer was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir.
Jennifer is survived by her children, Jamar Johnson, Jerran Johnson (Breanna) of Murphy, and Victoria Johnson Bush of Murphy; three brothers, Rubin Blount of Murphy, NC, Eddie Blount of Loganville, GA and Herbert Arrington of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Thelena Turner (Eurial) of Murphy, NC, Cynthia Clavon (Charles) of Stonecrest, GA, and Jenny O'Dell of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; one sister-in-law, Brenda Blount; Don Morris; two granddaughters, Payton Bush and Porter Johnson, and two grandsons, Langston and Krue Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Chris Rumfelt will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 2 pm, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
