Karen Kaye Nichols Anderson, age 62 of Murphy, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Karen was born in Ocala, Florida to the late Quillie and Clerance Murtie Corbin Nichols. She had worked as a cashier in retail sales. Karen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters. She enjoyed scratching off lottery tickets and gambling at the casino. Karen was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Anderson; her son, Raymond Blaine Hurst; her brother, Quillian Nichols; and her sister, Tammy Tisdale.
She is survived by her sons, William Travis Walden and Raymond Eugene Brown; her daughters, Rebecca Wilson (Steven) and April Glissan (Travis); her brothers, Gary Nichols and Glen Nichols; her sister, Linda Gay; her 9 grandchildren; and one great grandchild on the way.
No services are planned at this time.
