Hazel Passmore Wilson, 98, of Bryson City passed away Friday, August 12, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Curtis and Pearl Mae Morgan Passmore. Hazel had worked as a Sewing Machine Operator in clothing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wilson; a son, Paul Wilson; a brother, Arnold Passmore; and two sisters, Elsie Holland, and Ethelene Gwodson.
Surviving are two sons, Curnis Wilson, and Charles Wilson; seven daughters, Muriel Morgan, Willa Mashburn, Connie Wilson, Ruth Garland, Diane Raxter, Della Mae Younce, and Laverne Mason; two sisters, Ella Mae Douthit, and Myrtle Sue Lafollette; 25 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, August 15, 2022 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Andrews with Revs. SJ Waters and Eddie Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Union Hill Baptist Cemetery in Nantahala. Pallbearers will be Kyle Mashburn, Jeff Wilson, Matthew Taylor, Jason Raxter, Cameron Mashburn, and Jordan Raxter.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home prior to the services.
