Phoebe Watson, age 67, of Marble, NC passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC. Phoebe graduated from Andrews High School in 1968. She was a CNA and enjoyed taking care of her patients. Phoebe was a loving mother and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and being outside. Phoebe was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, A.V. Gibby.
She is survived by two sons, Jeff Gibby of Andrews, NC and Tommy Gibby of Marble, NC; two grandchildren, Carleigh Gibby and Dylon Gibby; two great grandchildren, Jacob McDonald and Elijah Sutton; and two sisters, Cynthia Neal of Andrews, NC and Brenda Bultler of VA.
A Graveside Service and burial will be held at 1 PM, Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Moss Cemetery in Marble, NC. Rev. Pete Watson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Gibby, Tommy Gibby, Carleigh Gibby, Todd Moss, Chuck Baldwin and Lon Pendergrass.
