Betty Morrow Floyd, age 81 of Kings Mountain, NC and previously of Murphy, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Betty was born in Murphy to the late John Bayless and Mattie Rose Morrow. She worked as a seamstress. Betty liked to cook, enjoyed puzzle books and crocheting. She also enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with a big ole cup of coffee.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Morrow; her sisters, Linda Nichols, Geraldine Burrell and her brother-in-law, Sibbald Burrell.
She is survived by her son, Floyd Caldwell; her daughters, Lisa Hopper (David) and Carla Floyd Dockery (Brian); her sisters, Brenda Garland (Edward) and Peggy Ledford; her brother in law, Frank Nichols; and her grandchildren, Joshua Harrison (Megan), Lance Hopper, Jacob Hopper (Jessica), Jonathan Caldwell and Heath Dockery; and her great grandchildren, Jonah Harrison, Lilly Kate Harrison, Jackson Hopper, Charlotte Caldwell, Emma Hopper and Dakota Caldwell
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Rev. Jerry Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Morrow Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Harrison, Lance Hopper, Jacob Hopper, Jonathan Caldwell, Heath Dockery and Jonah Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy prior to the service.
