Virginia Posey, age 89 of Murphy passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Virginia was the daughter of Asa and Ella Hartness James. She attended Hiwassee Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers, her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Floyd Posey and son, Don Posey.
She is survived by her daughter Ella Howard and husband, Vernon of Marble; brother, Noah James and wife Bonnie of Woodstock, GA, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 2PM at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Eddis Dockery will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Mintz, Sam Davis, J. Killian, Terry Killian, Lee Tanner and Rodney Tanner. Burial will follow in Hiwassee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 12-2PM at the Townson-Rose Funeral Chapel in Murphy.
