Steve Hatchett, age 66 of Hayesville, NC passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his residence.
Steve was born in Cherokee County, NC to Lenna Hatchett of Murphy, NC and the late Lofton Hatchett. Steve was a US Air Force veteran. He was owner and operator of WNC Properties Real Estate. Steve was the former Chief Financial Officer of Angel Hospital and former Chief Financial Officer of Trans Community Mental Health. He was a member of the Hayesville First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne Hatchett; one son, Kevin Robertson and wife Mariam; one daughter, Barbara Ward; one brother, John Hatchett and wife Ginger; two sisters, Wanda Gay Ledford and husband L.B. and Tammy Posey; granddaughters, Katelyn Waldroup, McKenzie Ward and Kylei Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Hayesville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Kirk Hatherly will officiate.
