Evelyn Virginia Mosteller Gibby, age 83, of Hayesville, NC passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her residence.
She was a native of Clay County, NC and the daughter of the late James and Lura Cothren Mosteller. Evelyn was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman W. Gibby; infant daughter, Teresa Gibby; and two brothers, Don and Paul Mosteller.
She is survived by her son, Keith Gibby and wife Kathy; and two grandchildren, Megan and Laura Gibby; and one great-grandson, Asher Gibby.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Warren Gibby will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Home Health and Hospice Agency, 125 Medical Park Lane Suite H, Murphy NC 28906.
