Randell (Rajin) Avery Mingus, age 54, of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 .
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of Anna Lee Rogers Mingus of Murphy, NC and the late Howard Leroy Mingus. Randy had worked in residential and commercial construction. He enjoyed anything with a motor, hunting, fishing, racing and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Ronda Mingus; one son, Josh Mingus; two daughters, Aimee Mingus, and Holly Noe and husband Jason; one brother, Jason Mingus; two sisters, Rhonda Armstrong and husband Rev. Steve Armstrong and Patricia Rhodes and husband Jamie; two grandchildren, Daelin Mingus and Noah Avery; two nieces, Sarah Armstrong and Bridget Laney; and three nephews, Jake Mercer, Cruz Mingus and Maddox Mingus.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Eulogies will be given by family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses or to the Wildlife Conservation, Cherokee County, 75 Peachtree Street, Murphy, NC 28906.
