Obituary for Loretta Lennon Drennen

Loretta Lennon Drennen, 93, recently of Hayesville, NC, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her home.

Loretta was born February 17, 1925, in New York City, the youngest of four children of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Keena) Lennon.

Upon graduation from Julia Richman High School in New York City, Loretta continued to live and work in the city. It was during this time she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Drennen. They were married May 14, 1949.

They were blessed with three children as Bill"s career took them to Texas, back to New York, to Illinois and finally back to Texas in 1970.

Loretta was a strong woman and of great faith who was proud of her New York Irish heritage. She enjoyed being involved in her church's RCIA program as well as serving as a Lector. She loved her family and many friends and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all of them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William James Drennen; daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Steve Ellis.

Surviving are her son, William Drennen and his wife Pam of Houston, TX; and daughter, Margaret Seaker and her husband Robert of Hayesville, NC; grandchildren, Maddie Drennen, Lillian and Rudy Seaker. Also surviving are very special nieces, nephews and cousins as well as countless friends!

A memorial service celebrating Loretta's life will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hayesville on April 29, 2018 during the 9am Mass. A subsequent memorial service will be held at a future date in Houston, TX.
