Alan Dockery age 65 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Asheville, NC.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of Ruby Dockery of Murphy, NC. Alan was a US Army veteran. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother he is survived by one son, Timothy Dockery; one daughter, Amanda Morrow; seven grandchildren and two great-grandkids.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post #96 and D.A.V.Chapter #73 and American Legion Post #532 of Hayesville and VFW post #6812.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm, Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
