Lake McClure, age 84 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
Lake was born in Clay County, NC to the late Ralph Lester and Margie Mease McClure. He was vice president of operations manufacturing for Bemis Plastic Company. Lake enjoyed golfing and gardening. He also enjoyed sitting on the river bank and eating hot dogs with David and Bud. Lake always put his family first. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hayesville.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Lynn Murray McClure; two brothers, Floyd McClure and Don McClure; and two sisters, Nana Lou Sawyer and Ruth Curtis.
He is survived by his sons, Mike McClure (Judy), Tim McClure (Tracey) and Patrick McClure (Jill); a brother, David McClure; a sister, Glenda Parker; several grandchildren, Lake McClure, Griffin McClure, Mia McClure, Taylor Stutts (Will), Austin McClure, Spencer McClure, Maddie McClure and Kalie McClure; and one great grandchild, Hayden Stutts.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Hayesville.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local Meals on Wheels.
