Everyone who met Ethan Picon, will never forget him! His charisma, his passion, his overly insightfulness of theology and existence, his mischievous smile, and his love for mankind! He was always challenging others to think deeper, love stronger, and live louder! He was bold, courageous, and, downright stubborn....but he was never fake, never phony...always 100% sincere! Ethan left a testimony with his life, to push the boundaries, and not to go with the flow, but to be the unique, beautiful being God created us to be. Ethan left this world tragically at the age of 19 on February 21st, when he was struck by a car.
Ethan Nathaniel Picon, age 19 of Marble, NC passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC. He is the son of Matt and Tina Picon Lundy Marble, NC.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bill Picon, paternal grandfather, Bill Lundy and biological father, Thomas Bryce Burrell.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two brothers, Thomas Evan Burrell and William Lundy; one sister, Callie Lundy; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Picon; paternal grandparents, Ronnie Burrell and wife Patricia of Murphy and Joyce Lundy of Andrews; Aunts, Cindy Picon and Brittannee Burrell; Uncles, Billy Picon, Brian Picon, Bill Lundy, Brent Burrell and Shannon Burrell; and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Journey Church of God in Murphy, 129 Church of Christ Road. Pastor Shep Calhoun will officiate. Pallbearers will be Alex Harper, Josh Harper, Alex Ward, Hayden Norris, Ricky Rogers and Paul Yebba.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Journey Church of God.
