Charles Walter Clemons, age 75, of Hayesville, NC passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Chatuge Regional Nursing Home in Hiawassee, GA.
He was a native of Lee County, Florida and moved into this area 33 years ago. He was the son of the late John Elbert Clemons Sr. and Pearl Holmes Clemons. He retired from Ingles as a meat cutter. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry work and working on old cars.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Walter Clemons, Jr and his wife Carol of New Jersey and Mark Clemons and his wife, Jo of Murphy, NC; two daughters, Leasa Bowling and her husband, Nick of Xenia, OH and Janet Traudt and her husband Jay of Dayton, OH; three brothers, Lamar Clemons, John Clemons, Jr and Wayne Clemons; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Laurel Hills Memory Gardens in Young Harris, GA. Rev. Kevin Miller will officiate.Pallbearers will be John Clemons, Abraham Sandy, Charles Clemons, Mark Clemons, Nick Bowling and Jay Trandt.
