Geneva Patterson Chastain, age 62 of Hayesville, NC passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Erlanger Murphy Medical Center.
She was born in Guilford County, NC to the late James and Edna Cothern Patterson. Geneva enjoyed camping, NASCAR racing, the Georgia Bulldogs and her beloved Chihuahua "Buckwheat". She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Allen and Butch Patterson; two sisters, Loretta Patterson and Marie Spivey.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Chastain; one son, Jason Chastain and wife Brooke of Hayesville; one daughter, Tammy Gilbert and husband Danny of Dawsonville, GA; three sisters, LuDean Worley, Tootie Burch and Marlene Bell; three grandchildren, Jacob Kuykendall, Scarlett Chastain and Jocelyne Chastain; two step-grandchildren, Calley Greer and Lukas Gilbert; three step-great-grandchildren, Caiden, Camdynn and Carmen Greer.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
